MOODY MOODY 44

Visible à SWANSEA (UNITED KINGDOM)

Remarks :
Recently reduced in price to just £49,500 we are pleased to bring to you this rare example of a Moody 44 ketch was first built in 1972 originally called 'Ouzo' she offers a low profile, graceful look unusual in a centre cockpit boat from this era, a true example of the skill and eye for detail that the designers at Laurent Giles who first drew her had.

Once commissioned as hull no.3 she was charted in the Balearics for a few years before being sold onto the VC of the Royal Thames yacht club during which time the Prince of Wales sailed aboard her.

More recently she has led a more sedentary, less glitzy life, having sailed since 1984 in private ownership with only a small number of owners who have all sailed her predominantly around the UK and the English channel.

With a serious reduction recently made on her she represents excellent value for money and with a committed purchaser willing to put in some graft to restoring her to past glories she will make an excellent, fast and comfortable long distance cruiser again.

The build quality of this yacht is in places is very evident throughout and during her time afloat she has been upgraded consistently by her owners including hull expoxy. upgraded hood furling gear, additional Lewmar winches, Cockpit canopies and much more.

New cockpit canopy and spray hood (2015)
